Call for Artists: Purpose x AdaptNSW Forum
We are in a critical moment, needing to mobilise every person, effort, and resource to stay within a shrinking carbon budget and aim to limit global warming to 1.5°C—a somewhat safe threshold for life as we know it on earth.
We also need to adapt to our rapidly changing climate and the new reality it brings.
This is where you come in. We're calling on artists, performers, and creatives to submit expressions of interest for the upcoming Purpose Stream of the AdaptNSW Forum.
We’re seeking creative, interactive, and performative works that can inspire, provoke thought, and engage people in this essential conversation.
Whether through art installations, performances, digital works, or other forms of creative expression, we want your ideas to be part of this transformative event.
Themes
Pathways - Catalysing action with futures thinking and thought leadership. Science, technology and sense-making.
Intersections - Navigating the synergies between net zero and circular economies, mitigation and adaptation, risk, local, national and global.
Evolution - Transformation, regenerative leadership, nature positive, biomimicry, reverence, climate equity, connection to Country.

Purpose curated sessions at AdaptNSW Forum
In order to explore the continued urgency around adaptation, we are deepening our collaboration with Adapt NSW and guest programming a stream of sessions at their 2024 AdaptNSW Forum.
This event will bring world class presenters and professionals together to assess the current climate change landscape and explore science-backed futures thinking.
The forum will be hosted from 29-30 October at The Roundhouse UNSW, on the lands of the Bedegal people.
