Olivia Tyler — Managing Director ANZ of Edge Environment

About Olivia

At Edge, Olivia’s role is focussed on utilising her insights and experiences from a career working within some of Australia’s largest corporate organisations to building a team of incredible and well-rounded sustainability professionals, creating client-centric solutions to deliver sustained and meaningful change.

She’s a firm believer that we need to create new ways of doing business – that profit and purpose do not need to be mutually exclusive, and a regenerative mindset can accelerate and catalyse change.

  • Working within the consumer goods, retail and financial services sectors has given Olivia a deep and practical understanding of how you make great sustainability practices and principles come to life, the day-to-day challenges that are faced by organisations and how you mobilise a group of people to create that inspiring vision, whilst grounding it in clear stepping stones and markers of action.

Her expertise is diverse and reflective of the many lenses of ESG – from sustainability strategy, reporting and communication; to waste and recycling, water and energy efficiency; responsible and ethical sourcing, social procurement and supplier inclusion and diversity; right through to risk and governance, anti-bribery and corruption and financial crime, particularly as it impacts human rights.

Particular passion areas are sustainable and ethical procurement and infusing sustainability into all aspects of an organisations brand and DNA. Leveraging the purchasing power of organisations to accelerate economic inclusion, and environmental and social impact is incredible and she enjoys identifying additional sources of benefit and value, beyond dollar savings that then create meaningful and authentic change. By hardwiring a sustainable mindset into what an organisation stands for, how it operates and measures success means the solutions we create are truly embedded.
