About richard

Richard Boele has worked in the human rights space for more than two decades, having founded Banarra before it was acquired by KPMG in 2015. Continuing his work with KPMG Banarra since then, Richard was appointed as the firm’s inaugural Chief Purpose Officer in 2021.

Richard is passionate about the space, and advises executives on how they can mitigate human rights and social impact risks while continuing to support their community. His work also assists with helping organisations enhance the social and governance dimensions of ESG ranging from green and social procurement, to ethical supply chains and social labour practices.

Richard is also the chair of Boccia Australia, an organisation for the most inclusive sport in the world.
