About SHANTEL

Shantel Wetherall is British/Australian writer, host and expert at starting important conversations. Her words, featured in the likes of The Guardian, SBS Voices and the Sydney Morning Herald, and heard on the airwaves via her podcast Hey Aunty! and as a presenter on 3RRR, are all geared towards creating space for nuanced conversations about women, culture and change. Shantel co-edited the book RARE for Google in 2020.

Prioritising equity to transform impact in community, she is an an analytical people person and her multi-faceted practice helps good intentions become great outcomes through evidence based strategy. Her much loved podcast Hey Aunty! sees Shantel share black womens' stories and first hand narratives.
