    • Before posting, consider if this is helpful, informative, interesting or inspiring content.

    • Before posting, consider if the channel you’re posting in is the best place for this content and information.

    • Don’t post the same things in more than one channel or multiple times.

    • We encourage you to respond to people’s posts using threads in order to keep conversations within one place.

    • You can also use emoji reactions to content rather than write if that makes things easier or faster for you.

  • Your engagement during the conference and in the lead up helps bring momentum, energy and connection to Purpose. Your active participation and contributions will make Slack a better community resource for all of the Purpose delegates.

    • We encourage you to share or promote your organisation in our #shamelessplug channel. It’s exciting for us to see what you’re working on and it lets others in the community get to know you and connect.

    • Each Purpose Conference delegate has full control of what they share in this Slack community. Please do not post or link to any private information that you don’t want to share.

We encourage members to be aware when they leave the Slack Community and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

    • Tag people only when you feel it’s relevant to them and the conversation.

    • Be respectful by not tagging a person too many times across too many channels or conversations.

    • Repeatedly tagging people may close some Delegates off from participation or their desire to engage, so be mindful of this.

    • A great use of tagging is to continue a pre-existing conversation with a person, and particularly when responding to a question that they have asked.

    • Delegates are not obliged to respond if they are tagged in content.

    • By joining this Purpose Slack Community, you are acknowledging that you may receive direct messages from other members. Direct messages are an excellent way to communicate and collaborate with other delegates.

    • Delegates are not obligated to respond to any direct messages.

    • Do not send direct messages to members who have requested not to be contacted or set their profile in a way that shows they are not interested in the online networking in that way.

    • If you do not want to engage with direct messages, minimise the direct messaging dropdown on the sidebar. All messages can be marked as read to dismiss notifications.

    • Further, if you do not want to engage with direct messages, set your profile up accordingly so that people are aware you will not be responding.

  • Sharing content that can be interpreted as encouraging others to violate the law is not tolerated and will lead to the immediate removal of any Delegate from the Slack community.

  • Please report any messages or behaviour that violates these Slack Community Guidelines by filling out the form below or email us.

  • Purpose Conference reserves the right to issue warnings, delete any post, or remove any member of the community for not following these Slack Community Guidelines.
